Philip Schuyler Glidden

CEO

Mr. P. Schuyler Glidden has been a leader in the wholesale electronics industry for over 20 years, and has been responsible for pioneering changes in the electronics distribution marketplace. He founded SGI in 1995 with an aim to change the accepted distribution model in order to ensure “peace of mind” for global EMS and OEM companies buying electronic components. Mr. Glidden is a founding member of IDEA, the Independent Distributors of Electronics Association, and is a 6 year member of Vistage International. Prior to SGI, Mr. Glidden founded ASI, another successful electronics wholesaler. Mr. Glidden is a graduate of Lake Forest College with a degree in Comparative World Literature. He lives on the North Shore of Boston with his wife and three children.

Jon Kaplan

President

In 2007, Jon Kaplan brought over 12 years of strategic business development experience to SG Industries in the role of Global Sales Manager. After transforming the OEM and Broker sales groups into high performing, customer-centric teams, he was moved into the newly created position of Vice President of Sales and Business Development. With responsibility for all purchasing and sales operations, Jon oversaw the tactical and strategic activities of our professional commodity traders worldwide. In addition to helping our partners address their component shortage issues and cost savings objectives, Jon led the effort to deliver flexible, customized excess and obsolete material solutions to the market. He now serves as President of SG Industries, with responsibility for all aspects of our business and operations. Jon grew up in New York and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he earned a BSEE and an MBA. After living for several years in New York, Maryland and California, he has settled into southern New Hampshire with his wife and daughter.

Thomas Pike

Vice President, Operations and Quality Assurance

Mr. Pike has been employed with SG Industries since 2002. He has held various operational and management positions within the company since his hire. He was promoted to his current role in 2006. Prior to SG Industries, Tom was employed by one of the largest global independent distributors where he held various senior managerial positions. He was ultimately responsible for the management, growth and overall success of the corporate operations as the company grew to over 350 employees and $1 billion in sales. In his final role as Director of Global Logistics Integration he was instrumental in the launch of several of the company’s international offices while ensuring the quality and worldwide delivery of over a billion dollars worth of electronic components annually. With over 25 years of industry experience, Tom’s knowledge, contacts, dedication to quality, and ability to develop and foster a professional corporate culture make him an integral part of the Executive Leadership Team of SG Industries. Tom resides with his wife and four children on the North Shore of Massachusetts.

Paul Huron

Vice President, Sales and Business Development

Mr. Huron joined SG Industries in September, 2011 bringing extensive experience in electronic component sales. With a career spanning more than three decades within various organizations, Paul will bring a new focus to SGI's global sales teams. Paul has spent most of his 30-plus years in the electronics industry growing businesses and developing relationships throughout Asia. He comes to us from a major FCP (frequency control product) supplier where he had been responsible for their EMS sales teams worldwide. Managing offices in Europe and Asia provided customers with the highest level of service in the FCP industry, and aided the expansion of his organization's footprint and market share. Prior to that he had been part of two successful startups in the FCP industry and had spent a number of years in electronic component distribution. Paul, an avid golfer, graduated SUNY at Stony Brook and lives in Southern New Hampshire with his wife and two children.
